Title: UNRWA: There is a Deliberate Attempt to Stifle Our Operations in Gaza

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stated today, Thursday, that "there is a deliberate attempt to stifle its humanitarian work in Gaza." He warned that "the agency may have to completely suspend its operations due to the fuel shortage." He told reporters in Geneva: "I believe there is a deliberate attempt to stifle our operations and paralyze the process," describing this attempt as "shameful" to force the humanitarian agency to beg for fuel." He added that "UNRWA, which provides support to over 800,000 displaced persons in Gaza, is at risk of completely suspending its operations."
