Elon Musk Criticizes Surge of Migrants at the Mexico Border

Elon Musk, owner of the platform "X," shared a photo showing him at the border between the U.S. and Mexico, wearing sunglasses and a black cowboy hat. The account stated that Musk is at the border to highlight the issue of refugees who have been flowing into the country in an unprecedented manner for weeks and months, violating the law. The controversial fifty-something-year-old, born in South Africa, said, "As an immigrant to the United States, I am a strong supporter of immigrants." However, he emphasized that the issue of the refugee influx has spiraled out of control, stating, "We should not allow people to enter the country if they are breaking the law." He added that entry should be allowed for "any hardworking and honest person who truly wants to add value to the economy of the country," a description that may be interpreted differently. He continued by saying that "what we are seeing in some cases here is the entry of extremist individuals!" Musk explained, having frequently posted comments recently about the situation of migrants, that his visit was intended to convey the reality of the situation.
