Russian President Vladimir Putin met today, Friday, with senior military leaders to discuss the war in Ukraine, attended by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov. Photos published by the Kremlin showed President Putin during a meeting with Shoigu, Gerasimov, and General Sergei Rudskoy, head of the Main Operations Directorate of the Russian General Staff, at the Southern Military District headquarters in Rostov. The Kremlin stated: "New models of military equipment were presented to the Supreme Commander. The head of state listened to reports on the course of the special military operation." Last month, Putin visited the military headquarters in Rostov, from where an unfinished rebellion was launched by the head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, in June.
