Ancelotti is the Clear Choice for Brazil National Team Coach, Says Union President

Edinaldo Rodriguez, president of the Brazilian Football Confederation, informed Reuters that Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid, would be the clear choice to lead the national team if he is available at the end of the European season. Rodriguez acknowledged that the 63-year-old Italian coach is at the top of the list of candidates to succeed Tite, who left his role after Brazil's exit in the quarter-finals of the 2022 World Cup against Croatia.

Rodriguez stated, "Ancelotti is respected by all players. Not just Ronaldo Nazário or Vinícius Júnior, but everyone who has played under him." He added, "I truly appreciate him for his honesty in his work and his continuous effort. He is well-known. He is an excellent coach who has achieved a lot, and we hope he achieves more."

Ancelotti was a major topic of conversation among Brazilian national team players in the days leading up to their 2-1 loss to Morocco in a friendly, with several players including Vinícius Júnior, Ederson, Rodrygo, and Casemiro praising the Italian coach.

However, Rodriguez mentioned that the enthusiasm for Ancelotti has also spread to Brazilian fans. He said, "Ancelotti is not only the favorite coach of the players, but he seems to be one among the fans as well. Wherever I go in Brazil, in every stadium, he is the first person fans ask me about." He concluded, "They speak about him with affection, appreciating the excellent work he has done in his career. Let us have faith and wait for the right time, and we will see if we can achieve that in our pursuit of appointing a new coach for the Brazil national team."
