New Iranian Ambassador to the UAE After 8-Year Vacancy

Iranian news agencies reported that Reza Amiri has been appointed as the new ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, making him the first to hold the position that has been vacant for 8 years. The Iranian news agency "ISNA" mentioned that Amiri is the director general of the Department for Foreign Iranians Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has previously represented his country in Algeria, Sudan, and Eritrea.
