The official poster for the festival, an image by French photographer Jacques Garofalo, was previously revealed; it was taken on the set of the film "La Chamade" in black and white. "La Chamade" was directed by Alain Cavalier and starred French actress Catherine Deneuve, French actor Michel Piccoli, and Belgian actor Roger Van Hool.
**"Un Certain Regard" Jury**
The festival organizers announced that American actor John C. Reilly will serve as the head of the jury for the "Un Certain Regard" competition, which showcases artistic and exploratory films by young authors. The other jury members include French director and screenwriter Alice Winocour, German actress Paula Beer, French-Cambodian director and producer Davy Chou, and Belgian actress Émilie Dequenne.

The Honorary Palme d'Or, one of the most prestigious film awards in the world, will be awarded annually at the Cannes Film Festival. Among the awards are Best Director, Grand Prix, Best Actor, Jury Prize, Best Screenplay, and Best Short Film. American actor Michael Douglas will receive the Honorary Palme d'Or in recognition of his career and lifetime achievements at the 2023 festival.
