U.S. President Joe Biden joked with factory workers in Colorado that the device he was holding resembled the so-called "nuclear football," which carries "codes to blow up the world." During a conversation with workers at a wind turbine manufacturing facility, Biden pointed to a device in a worker's hand and joked, "My Marine carries something similar, and he has the code to blow up the world." During his visit to Colorado, Biden toured CS Wind, a South Korean manufacturing company, where he made another gaffe by referring to South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol as "Mr. Moon," seemingly confusing him with his predecessor, Moon Jae-in. Biden said, "I am friends with your leader, Mr. Moon, you know." The presidential emergency bag, or "nuclear football," contains the codes used by the president to authorize nuclear missile launches if he is not at the White House.
