Heavy clashes renewed today, Tuesday, between the Sudanese army and Rapid Support Forces in the three cities of Khartoum: Omdurman, Khartoum, and Khartoum North. Violent clashes with heavy weaponry were reported in southern Khartoum, accompanied by intense aerial activity and the sound of anti-aircraft fire. Reports indicate ongoing explosions and clashes near the "Central Reserve" forces camp, the industrial area, and the popular market in Omdurman, as well as in the northern and western regions of Haj Youssef in East Nile locality. Intense fighting also re-occurred in Omdurman near "Al-Imtidad Street and Al-Nas Street" in the Al-Thawrat neighborhoods. On Monday, the Sudanese Armed Forces called in a statement for "youth and anyone able to join the armed forces to honorably defend the entity and dignity of the Sudanese nation." The army also added in its statement that "leaderships of divisions and military areas were directed to receive and prepare fighters."
