The Director-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, indicated today, Wednesday, that "the agency's ability to provide services in the war-torn Gaza Strip is on the verge of collapse, after the killing of more than 130 of its employees in the region." Lazzarini stated, "The entire humanitarian response largely depends on the capacity of UNRWA... It is now on the brink of collapse."
