A statement from the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division reads as follows: "As part of the daily follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to pursue and arrest those involved in drug trafficking and promotion in various Lebanese regions, information was obtained by the special group in the Judicial Police Unit regarding the use of a 'shop' in the Al-Tarablus area for drug promotion. On 06-11-2023, after surveillance, a force from the aforementioned group raided the location and caught in the act both of the following individuals:
- M.M. (born in 1977, Lebanese)
- A.A. (born in 2000, Lebanese)
They were arrested while selling drugs, and a military pistol, a quantity of narcotic pills and hashish prepared for promotion, a sensitive scale, and mobile devices were seized from them. They, along with the seized items, were taken to the Anti-Drug Office - Tripoli, to proceed with the legal measures against them, in accordance with the instructions of the competent judiciary."
