Video - Loud Explosion in Eilat

Reports indicate that a loud explosion was heard in the Israeli city of Eilat, and that sirens sounded for 30 seconds. The spokesperson for Magen David Adom stated that following the sounding of the sirens in recent minutes, "we confirm that at this stage no injury reports have been received." The Israeli army spokesperson noted that following the initial report of an alert in Eilat, "an intercepting missile was launched in response to a suspected aerial target, and the alert was activated after the intercepting missile was launched," confirming that no breach of Israeli airspace has been detected.
