The Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Walid Bukhari, held a honoring ceremony for the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, at his residence in Yarzeh, attended by political, parliamentary, and social figures. Ambassador Bukhari reiterated the fundamental principles of Saudi Arabia towards Lebanon, concerning the establishment of the substance of the Taif Agreement and the completion of constitutional entitlements, emphasizing the importance of the statement from the five-party meeting. He expressed hopes for the completion of constitutional entitlements and the election of a president to initiate the path to recovery, confirming the Kingdom's commitment to Lebanon's security and stability. Bukhari conveyed a clear and direct message to the MPs in the presence of the Mufti, stating that no individual has been tasked by the Kingdom to form any parliamentary bloc, and that the embassy represents the Kingdom in Lebanon through its ambassador. For his part, the Mufti spoke about the importance of unity at this stage and the need to address entitlements within constitutional frameworks.
