The First Since 2005: "The Rolling Stones" Release Their Album

The First Since 2005:

The band "The Rolling Stones" announced at the Hackney Empire in East London today, Wednesday, the release of their new album "Hackney Diamonds," which is their first original music album in 18 years and the first since the death of drummer Charlie Watts. Lead singer Mick Jagger (80 years old) told American talk show host Jimmy Fallon during a live broadcast, "We're here to perform our new single called 'Angry' and its video, and 'Angry' is the first single from our new album called 'Hackney Diamonds,' and that's why we're here in Hackney. It will be released on October 20." Music fans have been anticipating this announcement since the appearance of a mysterious ad in a local newspaper last month that included references to some of the Stones' greatest hits and the name of the new album. The video for the song "Angry," featuring actress Sydney Sweeney, was premiered at the event. This album will be the first since Watts' death in August 2021. It contains twelve songs. Jagger stated that the album is a "mix" of music that includes love songs and folk ballads.
