The Israeli army is preparing to establish Division 99, a multi-front division known as the "Infantry Fire Division," enabling it to fight in any arena. It will include the Kfir Brigade, along with a reserve brigade and commando units. This will be the first division to report directly to the Ground Forces Branch rather than any regional command. According to sources, the division is being prepared to handle warfare in the West Bank, considering that the upcoming conflict may expand there. Among the division's tasks will be managing operations in Lebanon, particularly concerning the infantry division specialized in combat in southern Lebanon, specifically areas like Bint Jbeil in Lebanon and Shuja'iyya in Gaza. Colonel Avi Rosenfeld is expected to lead the division, with its objectives focusing on the occupied territories, attacking the enemy, and supporting the army.
