The Turkish Ministry of Energy announced today, Tuesday, that "nine workers from a gold mine went missing following a landslide during a mining operation conducted by Anagold Mining in eastern Turkey, while rescue efforts are still ongoing." Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya told the news channel that "400 search and rescue workers are looking for the missing miners." The government indicated that it has begun an investigation into the incident.
