United remains in fourth place, just one point ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool, which has played one additional match.
Ten Hag expressed his hope that the 32-year-old goalkeeper would extend his contract with the club, which is set to expire next summer. He told reporters, "He has the most clean sheets in the league, so we wouldn't be in this position without his efforts. He has my full confidence, and I have no worries about that."
The Dutch coach added, "This happens, but as a team, we must deal with it, show character, recover quickly, and make a comeback. We want him to continue and extend his contract."
When asked whether United was affected by Liverpool's six consecutive wins, he responded, "It's not about Liverpool; it's about us, because if you look at the league table, everything is in our hands." He further commented, "Things haven't changed. We could have made it easier if we had won, but we need three wins in four matches. Everything is in our hands, and we must have confidence."
