White House Responds to Netanyahu's Leaks Regarding Qatar

The White House expressed its gratitude to Qatar, which has acted as a key mediator in talks between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, following a leaked recording attributed to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu describing Doha as "problematic," according to "Russia Today." U.S. National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby stated, "Qatar is a key partner in the region, and we are grateful for their support of our ongoing efforts to try to secure the release of hostages from Gaza and reunite them with their families." Kirby declined to comment on the recording earlier and stated, "The United States will continue working to reach an agreement to secure the release of hostages." White House Senior Advisor and Middle East Coordinator Brett McGurk visited Doha on Wednesday for talks.
