Macron Welcomes Ceasefire Between Israel and Hamas and Agreement on Hostage Release

French President Emmanuel Macron welcomed today, Wednesday, the agreement between Israel and Hamas to cease fighting for four days to allow the release of 50 hostages held in Gaza in exchange for 150 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel, and to facilitate humanitarian aid into the besieged region.
