The U.S. State Department announced on Monday that "Washington has included former Sudanese Interior Minister Ahmed Mohammed Haroun in its rewards program for information on those suspected of committing war crimes, offering rewards of up to five million dollars." The statement clarified that "Haroun, who served as minister during Omar al-Bashir's rule, is wanted by the International Criminal Court for committing war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed in Darfur between 2003 and 2004."
