Global Survey Shows Two-Thirds of Earth's Population Prefers Solar Energy

A global survey revealed that over two-thirds of the world's population prefers solar energy, which is more than five times the number that favors fossil fuels. The survey found that "68% of participants prefer solar energy, followed by wind power at 54%, and hydropower at 35%. Nuclear energy came fourth at 24%, while only 14% of participants said they prefer fossil fuels." These results reinforce other polls showing strong support for renewable energy sources in Europe and the United States. The survey was conducted by the research company "Glokalityz" in collaboration with two environmental advocacy organizations, "Global Citizen" and the Initiative for the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Fossil Fuels. It was based on interviews with over 21,000 people across 21 countries between January and June. Among these countries are Australia, Brazil, China, India, Italy, Mexico, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, and the United States.
