Red Cross Teams Deliver Aid to Residents of Samakiyya and Hakr al-Daheri

The Lebanese Red Cross announced that for the second day, its teams, consisting of 26 volunteers and 6 vehicles, continued their humanitarian work by delivering aid, supported by trucks from the Lebanese Army, to the towns of Samakiyya and Hakr al-Daheri in Akkar, which have been entirely surrounded by water after the flooding of the Great River three days ago. The aid received was provided to the residents of the towns as well as around 340 Syrian families who had been evacuated from their camps to the school and mosque by the local municipality, with the assistance of the Lebanese Red Cross, after their tents were submerged. Additionally, the Lebanese Red Cross operated a mobile clinic and examined 135 patients. A team from the Lebanese Red Cross is still assisting the governor in activating the Disaster Management Room in the governorate to coordinate the response. Furthermore, the Lebanese Red Cross teams continue their response operations to provide essential aid to the affected families from the towns and the displaced Syrians.
