Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated today, Saturday, that "authorities have arrested 34 individuals suspected of having connections to the Islamic State (ISIS) during a large-scale operation against the extremist organization." Yerlikaya added that "all suspects apprehended in the 'Operation-Cage 35' are foreign nationals sought by an Interpol Red Notice requesting their arrest," noting that "police also seized several unlicensed firearms." Turkish authorities are intensifying operations against ISIS following an incident last week where two armed members of the organization killed a person at a church in Istanbul during Sunday Mass.
