Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey pointed out today, Thursday, that "recent events in the Middle East are creating a state of economic uncertainty and risks of rising energy prices." In a press conference, Bailey stated: "The events are causing a state of ambiguity, and I believe they pose a risk of increasing energy prices." He added: "So far, I would say that this has not happened, and it is clear that this is encouraging, but the risk remains."
