White House: We May Have to Accept the Possibility of Some Hostages Dying in Gaza

National Security Council spokesman John Kirby welcomed news today that "the Israeli army freed two hostages during a raid by special forces in Rafah, southern Gaza." He noted that "there can be no end to the Gaza crisis unless Hamas releases all hostages." Kirby confirmed that "the United States does not have specific information about the location of the hostages held by Hamas in Gaza," adding that "Washington may have to accept the possibility of some detainees dying."
