Russia Discusses Russian Oil Companies in Iraq

Russian Deputy Minister of Energy Sergey Mochalnikov met with Iraq's ambassador to Moscow, Qahtan Taha Khalaf, on Sunday. The two discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in a manner that serves the interests of both countries. They also discussed the possibility of preparing for the tenth session of the Iraqi-Russian Joint Committee. Additionally, the meeting touched on the operations of Russian oil companies in Iraq and efforts to find solutions to the challenges they face. Representatives from the oil companies "Lukoil" and "Gazprom" attended the meeting, along with Ali Abdul Karim Atiwi, an advisor from the Iraqi embassy.
