A fire broke out today, Saturday, in a school dormitory in central China, leading to the death of 13 individuals and injuring one person. According to Chinese news agency reports, the victims were third-grade students at an elementary school, with the students in that grade typically being nine years old in China. China's Central Television (CCTV) reported that the fire began on Friday evening in the dormitory of Yingkai School in Yanshanbu village near the city of Nanyang in Henan Province. They added that firefighters quickly extinguished the fire, and the school principal has been detained.
