The annual UAE International Polo Championship concludes tomorrow, Sunday, at the Ghantout Club, marking its 23rd edition, under the patronage of Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Ghantout Racing and Polo Club. The Abu Dhabi Polo team and the Ghantout Polo team are competing for the title, reminiscent of last year’s edition, where Ghantout Polo emerged victorious by half a goal.
Abu Dhabi Polo qualified by defeating the Bin Dri Polo team 10.5 to 3, while Ghantout Polo reached the final after winning against Lamar Polo 10 to 9. The final match will feature various activities as per the program announced by the Supreme Organizing Committee for the championship, led by Khalid Saeed Al Marzouqi, the Executive Director of the Ghantout Racing and Polo Club.
The events will start with entertainment performances and a heritage village, with a designated recreational area for children. On the sidelines of the final day’s events, the final of the Ghantout Equestrian Equipment Polo Championship will take place at Sultan Bin Zayed Stadium between the "AM Polo" and "Bhanisali Polo" teams, followed by the final match of the UAE International Championship, after which the winners will be awarded and participants honored.
