Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba rejected any compromise regarding his country's territorial integrity to end the war caused by Russia. He stated, "Those who believe that we can exchange land for the end of the war," led to a widespread invasion, a war unprecedented in Europe since the end of World War II. Therefore, thinking about drawing a new line on Ukrainian territory and then starting negotiations would not be more successful than the diplomatic process attempted during that period," referring to the Minsk agreements. He pointed to the period between 2014 and 2022, when diplomatic efforts aimed to reintegrate territories temporarily occupied by Russia in the former Soviet Union republics. However, he mentioned in an interview with Nova Agency and newspapers La Stampa and La Repubblica that he always hopes the efforts to convince Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop this madness would be effective, but the problem is that many have tried without any success so far. He emphasized that Ukraine is always ready for diplomacy, but the starting point must be Russia's withdrawal from the country. The head of Ukrainian diplomacy addressed those thinking of swapping land for peace, saying simply, "Do that first with your own country, then advise others; apply your suggestions first to yourself, then you will have a legitimate right."
