Israeli Shelling in Southern Lebanon Continues Amid Surveillance Flights

Israeli shelling resumed today, Wednesday, targeting border areas in southern Lebanon. In the morning, the Israeli army used heavy artillery around the towns of Naqoura, Tyrehfa, and the village of Khyam. Intensifying bombardment occurred from the evening until shortly before midnight on the surroundings of Naqoura, Mount Labouna, Alaa al-Shaab, Ramiah, Al-Jabin, Al-Dhahira, Yatar, and Wadi Mryamin in the western and central sectors. The Israeli army also launched illuminating flares over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line until dawn, while reconnaissance aircraft maintained a presence in the airspace over the region extending to the coastline and the Litani River, from the Qasmiya Bridge to Qaaqiliyah Bridge.

Following a missile strike launched from Lebanon towards the Galilee Panhandle, with rockets landing near Kiryat Shmona, the Israeli army targeted the outskirts of Hula, Rub' al-Thalathin, Markaba, and "Labouna" south of Naqoura. In response, "Hezbollah" announced that it targeted the "Ramim Barracks with rocket fire, achieving direct hits," as well as hitting the "Rweisat Al-Alam site in the occupied Shebaa Farms with suitable weapons, also achieving direct hits." Additionally, the "Hadab Yaroun site was targeted with guided missiles, and an Israeli vehicle in the Triangle of the Tyhat was also hit with guided missiles, resulting in direct hits on both." Furthermore, a "gathering of Israeli infantry was targeted west and south of Baraket Risha with guided missiles."
