The Saudi club Al-Hilal announced today, Wednesday, the official signing of Brazilian winger Malcom from Russian team Zenit St. Petersburg. Al-Hilal shared an introductory video of Malcom via their official account on the social media platform "Twitter," without disclosing the details of the deal. However, the account of "Abu Dhabi Sports" on Twitter revealed that Al-Hilal acquired Malcom for 60 million euros, making it the most expensive transfer in the history of the Saudi league. The channel added that Malcom's contract with Al-Hilal extends for three years.
Malcom plays in midfield and on the wings and was in the spotlight back in 2018 when he became the center of a rivalry between Roma and Barcelona. Barcelona successfully signed Malcom from Bordeaux at that time for over 40 million euros, where he played 24 matches, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. Malcom left Barcelona in 2019 when he moved to Zenit St. Petersburg, where he excelled with the Russian team.
