Flags at Half-Mast at UN Offices in Honor of Its Employees Who Died in Gaza

Flags were lowered at United Nations offices across Asia on Monday, and staff members were invited to stand in a minute of silence for their colleagues who lost their lives in the war between Israel and Hamas. The blue and white UN flag was lowered at 09:30 local time in Bangkok, Tokyo, and Beijing following the UN's announcement of a "significant number of casualties" in the "bombing" of the United Nations Development Programme headquarters in Gaza. UNRWA announced on Friday that more than a hundred of its staff had been killed in the Gaza Strip since the outbreak of the war.
