Mikati: The Widening Scope of Violence in the Region Will Have Grave Consequences

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati received a phone call from his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, during which they discussed the situation in Lebanon and the latest developments in Gaza and the Palestinian territories. Mikati emphasized the "need for the international community to act immediately to stop the Israeli violations of international law," pointing to "the seriousness of attempts to drag Lebanon into a regional war," asserting that "the widening scope of violence and conflict in the region will have grave consequences if it expands, particularly for Lebanon and neighboring countries."
