The International Court of Justice concluded today, Wednesday, that "Russia violated certain provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention of the Financing of Terrorism by failing to investigate the financial support provided to separatist groups in eastern Ukraine in 2014; however, it rejected Ukraine's request for compensation." The court refrained from specifically addressing the allegation of Moscow's responsibility for the downing of a Malaysian passenger plane over eastern Ukraine on July 17, 2014, which was a request submitted by Kyiv to the court.
