Israel: Over 12,000 Hamas Fighters Killed in Gaza War

An Israeli government spokesperson said on Monday that the combat capability of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has been reduced by half during the Gaza war, with over 12,000 of its fighters killed and a large number injured or captured. Spokesperson Eilon Levy stated in a press briefing, "We are talking about the elimination of three-quarters of Hamas brigades... more than 12,000 terrorists have been killed." He added, "When you consider the number of terrorists who have been injured or captured, this means that over half of Hamas's combat capability is no longer effective."
