Lebanon's Strong Bloc: We Regret Lebanon's Absence from the Amman Meeting

The Lebanon Strong Bloc, during its regular meeting chaired by MP Gebran Bassil, commended the new political discourse that prioritizes concerns of the economy, development, and stability over language of conflict, confrontations, and divisions. The bloc expressed satisfaction with the current openness, reflected in the Saudi-Iranian agreement on one hand and the rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Syria on the other, hoping and working for positive and swift repercussions on Lebanon. The bloc viewed the Amman meeting, which included Syria's participation, as a positive reflection of recent developments, expressing regret over Lebanon's absence. It emphasized the necessity of handing over Syrians who enter Lebanon illegally to the Lebanese General Security to return them to the relevant authorities in Syria. Additionally, it called on parliamentary forces to take all necessary measures to elect a president for the republic, urging an end to obstinacy and to engage in serious dialogue to reach an agreement on a rescue program.
