Houthis: Ban on Ships Heading to Israel if Food and Medicine Don't Enter Gaza

The "Ansar Allah" Houthi group in Yemen announced today, Saturday, a ban on ships heading to Israel of any nationality if food and medicine are not allowed into Gaza. The Houthi-affiliated Yemeni armed forces stated in a declaration: "After the success of the Yemeni armed forces, with the help of God Almighty, in imposing their decision to prevent Israeli ships from navigating in the Red and Arabian Seas, and due to the ongoing horrific massacres and acts of genocide and blockade by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in Gaza, the Yemeni armed forces declare a ban on the passage of ships heading to the Zionist entity of any nationality, if food and medicine are not allowed into Gaza, and these ships will become a legitimate target for our armed forces."

The statement added: "In order to ensure the safety of maritime navigation, we warn all ships and companies against dealing with Israeli ports." The Houthis further emphasized in their statement: "The Yemeni armed forces confirm their full commitment to maintaining the flow of global trade through the Red and Arabian Seas for all ships and all countries, except those associated with Israel or that will transport goods to Israeli ports. The Yemeni armed forces will implement this decision from the moment this statement is announced."
