Reguilón Returns to Tottenham After Loan at United

Manchester United, competing in the English Premier League, announced today, Thursday, that Spanish left-back Sergio Reguilón has returned to his club Tottenham Hotspur after the end of his loan agreement. Reguilón joined United on a one-season loan last September to strengthen the backline due to injuries to Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. He appeared in 12 matches in all competitions with the club, and Shaw and Malacia are expected to be ready to return to action soon. Manchester United stated in a release that "Sergio fulfilled the role he came for, which was to cover for Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia during their lengthy absences due to injury." Reguilón spent last season on loan at Atlético Madrid in Spain.
