Washington Raised the Issue of a Buffer Zone in Gaza with Israel

U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller told reporters that "the United States has raised the issue of establishing a buffer zone in Gaza with Israel," emphasizing that "Washington opposes any reduction of Gaza's territorial area." When asked about the raid on a hospital in Jenin and the destruction of a university in Gaza, Miller stated that "he does not have updates on the assessment of the raid, but the United States raised the issue of the demolitions, to which Israel responded that the demolitions were carried out only at sites used for launching or planning terrorist activities."
