Two people have died and at least 300 others have been injured due to a gas explosion in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi. Government spokesperson Isaac Mwaura reported that the fire broke out in the Embakasi neighborhood of Nairobi just before midnight at a gas refilling company's premises, which sustained severe damage. The Kenyan Red Cross stated on the platform "X": "Coordinated actions from various intervention units enabled the evacuation of 271 individuals to different health facilities in Nairobi," noting that 27 others were treated in Embakasi in the capital.
