Moussa Marega Demands Salary for Financial Settlement with Al-Hilal

Media reports have revealed the requests of Malian player Moussa Marega, striker for Al-Hilal, regarding his departure from the team in the current summer transfer window. Marega has been excluded from Al-Hilal's plans by the team's coach, Portuguese Jorge Jesus, as he was left out of the team's training camp in Austria in preparation for the new season and the King Salman Clubs Cup.

Marega joined Al-Hilal in 2021 from Portuguese club Porto with a contract extending for three seasons. According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiah," Marega has requested to receive his financial dues amounting to approximately 4.5 million euros, which represent his remaining salary from his contract.

The newspaper indicated that "Marega has stipulated the receipt of his dues to accept the settlement and leave the team." The report continued that "a number of Saudi and Gulf clubs have shown interest in acquiring the player, amid Marega and his agent's desire for an annual salary estimated at 8 million euros."

Marega is currently training in two shifts, morning and evening, according to a program prepared for him by Jorge Jesus. Al-Hilal has signed Senegalese Kalidou Koulibaly, Portuguese Ruben Neves, Serbian Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, in addition to Brazilian Malcom during the current summer transfer window.
