A patrol from State Security - North Regional Directorate raided a dairy and shanklish factory in the Miniyeh area, managed by a Syrian national (H.M.). A record was filed against him for violating hygiene and public health standards. Additionally, the entire stock of goods in the factory, estimated at about 400 kg of shanklish and labneh, was destroyed. The statement noted: "The spread of food products that do not meet health standards is a serious issue, with factories overwhelmed by bacteria marketing their products in Lebanese regions. The dairy and shanklish factory raided in the north was found, according to the investigation, to have over 30% of its products marketed in Mount Lebanon, 20% in Beirut, with the remainder in various northern areas. This urges citizens to be cautious about the source of any food product before buying it and to report any harm or poisoning they experience after consuming these products, to pursue the offenders and protect other citizens."
