French "CMA CGM" Confirms Passage of One of Its Ships Off Yemen

The French shipping company "CMA CGM" stated today, Wednesday, that its container ship "did not suffer any damage" during its passage off the Yemeni coasts, denying reports of the ship being targeted by the Houthis. The spokesperson for the French shipping giant indicated that the ship was heading to Egypt, contrary to the claim made by Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree, who stated that the ship was heading to Israel. The Iranian-aligned Houthi group, which controls large areas in Yemen including the capital Sanaa, has intensified its attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea in response to the Israeli war in Gaza.
