Iran's Tasnim news agency reported today, Sunday, that Iran has seized a foreign ship carrying two million liters of smuggled fuel near the coastal city of Bushehr in the south of the country. Iran is struggling with the issue of fuel smuggling overland to neighboring countries and by sea to Gulf states. Fuel prices in Iran are among the lowest in the world due to substantial subsidies and the decline in the value of the local currency.
