The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in the caretaker government, Abdullah Buhabib, received the National Security Advisor and Director of Cypriot Intelligence, Thassos Tzionis. During the meeting, Buhabib announced that "95% of Syrian displaced persons migrate for economic reasons, and we must address this in cooperation with the Mediterranean coastal countries." He also confirmed that "what happened on October 7 will be repeated if a fair and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue is not reached." He stated, "We understand Cyprus's desire to finalize the maritime border demarcation between the two countries."
