Drug Trafficking and Use: A Series of Arrests by the Army

The Army Command's Directorate of Guidance disclosed that a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence in the Hayy al-Salam area arrested a citizen (A.K.) for drug trafficking, seizing quantities of cannabis, marijuana, heroin, and a sum of money in his possession. It also noted the arrest of a Syrian national (M.M.) for drug use and trafficking, as well as for illegally entering Lebanese territory and roaming without identification papers, with quantities of drugs found in his possession. Additionally, another patrol from the directorate in the Haret Hreik area arrested citizens (H.A.) and (H.A.) for drug use and trafficking, seizing quantities of cocaine, a military pistol, and a sum of money from them. Today, Sunday, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence arrested a citizen (A.Z.) in the Shweifat Desert area for drug use, trafficking, and stealing motorcycles, confiscating large and varied quantities of cocaine, cocaine base, cannabis, and other narcotic substances from him.
