The Korea Football Association announced today, Tuesday, the appointment of Hwang Sun-Hong, coach of the U23 team, as the interim coach of the senior national team in preparation for the upcoming matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. The Korean association dismissed German coach Jürgen Klinsmann earlier this month following the team's exit in the semifinals of the Asia Cup in Qatar amid criticism of his management style.
