Arrest of a Gang Specialized in Smuggling Antiquities in Iraq

The Ministry of Interior in Iraq announced today, Monday, the arrest of a gang specialized in smuggling antiquities. The spokesman for the ministry and the security media cell, Brigadier Mukdad Miri, stated in a statement received that "based on accurate information from the National Intelligence Service, the Wasit Police succeeded in arresting a gang specialized in smuggling antiquities." He clarified that "the gang was caught red-handed in possession of manuscripts and 50 pieces of ancient coins."
