Fondrosova Defeats Bouzkova at Wimbledon

Marketa Fondrosova recovered from a slow start and advanced to the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon tennis tournament, defeating Marie Bouzkova 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in an all-Czech women's singles match on Sunday. Fondrosova struggled during the match, committing 44 unforced errors, but kept her composure and secured victory despite losing the first set.

Bouzkova began strongly, winning four consecutive games to lead 5-1 in the opening set, while Fondrosova hit several shots into the net. The 32nd seed faltered while serving to close out the set, allowing her opponent Fondrosova to break her serve, but Bouzkova quickly responded to the break and won the opening set.

Fondrosova bounced back in the second set, showcasing a series of impressive drop shots to break her opponent's serve twice and force a final set. After regaining her confidence, Fondrosova made no more errors, leading 4-3 before claiming the match following another break of serve.

Fondrosova will face either fourth-seeded Jessica Pegula or Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko for a spot in the semi-finals.
