Arrest of Wanted Individuals for Various Crimes in Tyre

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement: "On 3/3/2023, following a surveillance and monitoring operation, a special force from the Intelligence Directorate raided a building in the city of Tyre where citizens (W.S.) and (A.D.) and the Syrian (S.A.) were hiding. They were arrested for forming, along with others, an armed gang that creates disturbances and assaults citizens in the city and its surroundings." The statement continued: "The first individual is one of the most wanted for committing crimes including attempted murder, theft, robbery, and drug trafficking. On 9/3/2022, he opened fire on individuals after robbing them of a large sum of money in one of the city’s restaurants, causing severe injuries among them. Additionally, the arrested (A.D.) attacked the emergency department of Jabal Amel Hospital on 28/11/2022 and damaged its contents. Two military weapons, ammunition, and cell phones were seized from their possession." It concluded: "The seized items were handed over, and an investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
