The Algerian news agency reported today, Friday, that the Gas Exporting Countries Forum expects global demand for this type of fuel to grow by 34 percent by 2050. The forum's members hold more than two-thirds of the world's gas supplies. Algiers is hosting leaders from several countries as the sector faces a decline in demand for oil and gas and new competition from renewable energy sources.
